About the Whitsundays

Our Region

The Whitsundays consists of a group of 74 Islands which form a protective barrier offshore from the mainland village of Airlie Beach. Sheltered in turn by the Great Barrier Reef the Islands commonly have fringeing reefs and small sheltered beaches. Combined with a 10 - 15 knot onshore breeze this creates our world renown azure blue safe, sailing and cruising waters. Be sure to include a trip to Whitehaven Beach, consistently voted one of the best beaches in the world. The spectacular silica white sands of this gorgeous location stretch on for seven kilometres. You will want to return to experience its beauty again.

Airlie Beach
Gateway to the Great Barrier reef and Whitsunday Islands Airlie Beach is fast becoming Australia's Trendiest Beach, boating, nightlife and holiday destination.Similar to a topography of the French Mediterranean Coast Line and vibrant as Noosa without the highrises and traffic of Hastings Street. Airlie Beach caters to the family, backpacker, boaty, fisherman, upmarket restaurant goers and the party night club set. Plenty of hiking and bushwalks in the local Conway Ranges within walking distance of Airlie Beach, a great holiday destination that caters for all tastes..... old and young.
